Here Comes The Rain

Here comes the rain.  At least that is what the news is saying.  I guess that we are soon in for a rain/ice storm.  Snow may not be “wheelchair friendly”, but ice is even un-friendlier!  I guess that we will cross our fingers and hope for the best around here.

Lets see, Monday we stayed home & hung out with my dad.  Jenna & Ross came over to have leftovers from Christmas.  My dad continues to eat every sweet thing in the house at an incredibly fast rate.  I think he is down to just apple pie now. He threw away the remainder of the Costco Cake yesterday saying he couldn’t stay away.  It is amazing that he only gains weight in his little belly.  We are all very jealous!

Yesterday my mom and I saw Black Swan again with my Uncle Jeff & Aunt Sam.  My mom and I both agreed that it was so good we would see it again.  It is one of those movies where you catch a lot of new stuff the second time around.  I highly recommend it!

Susan, Dana & I a couple of Christmas's ago

Last night I met my friend Susan for dinner.  Susan is from Eden Prairie but now lives in Chile while she is getting her MBA.  She is also a fellow “Creeker” that I have known since I was 4 years old.  It is summer in Chile, so MN is a huge change for her right now.  It was fun to go to Don Pablos with her because she was so excited to eat there.  I guess that it has been one of her cravings since moving to Chile.  It was fun to see her clap every time she saw cheese on the menu.  haha. Good times!

Today my mom & I stayed in, scheduled some future appointments (like trying to get her blood re-drawn on Monday…cross your fingers!), and took a nap together.  My mom NEVER naps, so I was excited.  I would nap every day if she didn’t make me feel lazy for doing it.  Sleep is one of my favorite things to do.  I stay up really late at night, so an afternoon nap for me is delightful.  Thanks mama!

This evening the Robison’s came over to sing carols for us.  We were trying to have them over before Christmas, but we were too busy.  They have a huge family that can make up an entire choir.  They come and sing to us every year….and we love it!  They are such wonderful neighbors & friends.  I took a picture, but it is a little blurry.

The Robison Family

That sums it up for today.  Thanks for checking in!
